10 tools

Test your keyboard, mouse, webcam, microphone, speakers, and screen from a browser tab. No downloads and no drivers, just open a tester and find out whether the hardware is broken or the software is lying to you.

Like everything on loot.tools, these run entirely in your browser. Free, no account, and nothing you enter leaves the tab.

Which one do you need?

Input devices first. Keyboard Checker lights up every key you press, the quickest way to find a dead key or prove a stuck one. Key Code Finder is its developer sibling, showing the JavaScript event.key and event.code a keystroke sends. Mouse Checker tests buttons, wheel, and double-click behavior, and Gamepad Tester shows every button, trigger, and stick a connected controller reports.

Before a call, Webcam Tester, Microphone Tester, and Speaker Test confirm each piece of your setup works, so the meeting doesn't have to start with 'can you hear me?'.

The display tests answer different questions. Screen Resolution reports what your screen actually is: resolution, viewport size, and pixel ratio. Refresh Rate Test measures the frame rate you're really getting, worth a look after plugging in a monitor that might be stuck at 60 Hz. Dead Pixel Test cycles full-screen colors so stuck or dead pixels have nowhere to hide.
