Press any button on your controller

Plug in or pair a gamepad, then press a button or move a stick. Browsers only reveal a controller once it's used, so a press wakes it up. Everything is read locally - nothing is sent anywhere.

This reads your controller straight in the browser with the Gamepad API. Button presses and stick movement are shown live, but nothing is recorded or sent to any server.

What this tool does

Connect a controller over USB or Bluetooth and press any button to wake it up - browsers hide a gamepad until it's used. Once it shows, every button lights up the moment you press it, with the live value next to each one so you can see how far a trigger is pulled. The sticks and other axes are drawn as moving dots from -1 to 1 so you can read their exact position.

Spotting stick drift and dead buttons

Leave the sticks untouched and the axis dots should sit dead center near 0.00. If one drifts off on its own, that's stick drift. Run through every button and trigger to confirm each one registers - a button that never lights up or a trigger stuck at a value is a hardware fault worth catching before a game blames you for it.

Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere

The controller is read straight in the page with the browser's Gamepad API. No input is saved, recorded, or uploaded to any server. Close the tab and the connection is dropped right away.
