When you'd use this

You need a profile photo at exactly 400x400. You're prepping images for a blog and want them all the same width. You've got a 4000px camera photo that's overkill for the web and want it down to something reasonable. Resizing before upload saves bandwidth and keeps your pages fast.

How it works

The image is redrawn onto a canvas at your target dimensions using high-quality smoothing, then exported in your chosen format. Because it all runs in your browser, the image never gets uploaded anywhere. That makes it safe for private or sensitive images and means there's no file size limit beyond what your device can handle.
