Color Blender

Pick a start color and an end color and the blender interpolates evenly between them in RGB. You get the exact 50/50 midpoint, plus as many intermediate steps as you want for a smooth two-tone transition. Handy for finding a color halfway between two brand colors, building a gradient swatch set, or picking a blended border or hover tone. Switch the output between HEX, RGB, and HSL and click any swatch to copy it. Everything runs in your browser.

Mix two colors and get the in-between blend. Pick a start and end color, choose how many steps you want, and the tool interpolates evenly between them in RGB. Great for finding a midpoint color, building a two-tone gradient, or grabbing a transition between brand colors. Click any swatch to copy it. Runs entirely in your browser.

How the blend works

Each step mixes the two colors channel by channel in RGB. The first swatch is your start color, the last is your end color, and everything in between is a straight linear interpolation. Ask for 7 steps and you get the two endpoints plus 5 evenly-spaced blends, with the middle swatch being the true 50/50 mix.

When this helps

  • Finding the color exactly halfway between two brand colors
  • Building a two-tone gradient and grabbing the stops as hex values
  • Picking a blended border or hover color that sits between a background and an accent
  • Averaging two colors into one
  • Generating a short scale between a light and a dark shade you already have
