QR Code Generator

Encode a link, plain text, Wi-Fi credentials, or a contact card into a QR code and download it as a sharp SVG or a PNG. Pick the error-correction level, adjust the quiet zone, and set your own foreground and background colors. The code re-renders as you type. Everything happens in your browser, so whatever you encode is never uploaded.

Turn any text, URL, Wi-Fi string, or contact card into a QR code. It updates as you type, and you can save it as a crisp SVG or a PNG. Everything runs in your browser, so what you encode never leaves your device.

What a QR code is

A QR (Quick Response) code is a square matrix barcode that a phone camera can read instantly. It commonly holds a URL, but it can carry any text: a Wi-Fi network and password, a phone number, an email, a calendar event, or a vCard contact. The black-and-white modules encode the data plus extra error-correction bits, so the code still scans when part of it is dirty, creased, or covered by a logo.

How to use it

Type or paste what you want to encode and the code updates live. Raise the error-correction level (L, M, Q, or H) if the code will be printed small or might get scuffed - higher levels recover more damage but pack the modules tighter. The quiet zone is the blank margin scanners need around the code. Set the foreground and background colors to match your design, then download the SVG for print and infinite scaling or the PNG for quick sharing.

When you'd reach for this

  • You're putting a link to your site, menu, or signup form on a poster, flyer, or business card
  • Or you want guests to join your Wi-Fi by scanning instead of typing a long password
  • Or you're adding a scannable contact card to an email signature
  • Because it's all client-side, you can encode private links or credentials without them leaving your machine
